Alfreda's Legacy

Continuing a Legacy of Love

Alfreda's Safe Haven was inspired by my grandmother, Alfreda, whose boundless love for people and deep commitment to community touched countless lives. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and cared for—especially those who needed it most.

Growing up, I watched her open her heart and home to neighbors, friends, and even strangers who were going through difficult times. She believed that no one should face life's challenges alone, and she lived that belief every single day.

This program is my way of continuing her legacy—creating a safe haven where young people transitioning out of foster care can find the support, guidance, and community they deserve as they build their futures. Just as my grandmother would have done, we welcome each youth with open arms and unwavering belief in their potential.

"Every young person deserves a safe place to grow, a community that believes in them, and the opportunity to build a brighter future."

— In loving memory of Alfreda
